FAQs

What is the work of BigLove?

BigLove Alliance was founded in January 2013. Since September 2014, BigLove Alliance has been recognized as a registered charitable organization. We would like to develop a platform for sharing and creative exchange to generate positive impact to society and creative culture.  We are here to provide social support to our LGBTQ community, and to reduce public bias against and misunderstanding of people with different sexual orientations. Through openness and public education, we encourage acceptance and embracing of one’s sexuality, and support the creation of an inclusive society that is respectful of human diversity.

Where does our revenue come from?

1) Equal Opportunities (Sexual Orientation) Funding Scheme by Hong Kong Government
2) Donation from public and foundations, sponsorship from corporations
3) Products merchandise and functions entry fee

How do we use the donation?

Your generous support will be spent on holding various cultural and musical functions and publication, and to maintain our day-to-day operation and administration expenses.  BigLove’s income and expenses shall be audited by certified accountants every year to ensure that the yearly financial report reflects our actual financial situation.

Is my donation tax-deductible? Will I receive a donation receipt?

Since September 2014, BigLove Alliance has been recognized as a registered charitable organization. For donations of HK$100 or above, a receipt for tax deduction will be provided.
